About Our Store

Welcome to Cook on Bay!

Two things are blissfully obvious to anyone who walks through the front door of Cook on Bay: we love to cook and we know how to have fun!

At Cook on Bay, we celebrate the joy of cooking—for both the adventurous chef and the curious beginner. Our store is more than a place to shop; it’s a space where cooking becomes fun, inspiring, and educational. We’re here to help you discover the latest and greatest in kitchen tools and gadgets, and to share tips and tricks that make your time in the kitchen more enjoyable and rewarding.

Step inside, and you’ll find yourself in a cook’s dream. We offer a carefully curated selection of coastal-inspired serveware, locally sourced Lowcountry foods and seasonings, and an extensive collection of unique tools, cookware, bakeware, barware, and grilling essentials. Whether you’re looking for top-of-the-line knives or need them professionally sharpened, we've got you covered. Some of the beloved brands we carry include SMEG, Le Creuset, Wüsthof, Shun, Smithey, Cuisinart, ThermoWorks, and more.

Each product on our shelves is hand-selected with quality and performance in mind—guided by trusted reviews from Cook’s Illustrated, our own hands-on experience, and special requests from our wonderful customers.

Cook on Bay is rooted in a love for food, family, and friends. Store owner Jodi Campbell and her amazing team are proud to be part of the Beaufort community. We've wandered Bay Street countless times, enchanted by the sea breezes and the charm of this historic town. While not all of us are Beaufort natives, we’ve all fallen in love with its beauty, its people, and its cuisine.

The idea for Cook on Bay began with two sisters who shared a passion for cooking—and the realization that good cooking starts with the right tools. After a successful career in corporate marketing in Boston, Jodi was ready for a change. With her daughter starting college in South Carolina and her sister Anne already living part-time in Beaufort, the timing was perfect. Jodi moved south, and together they opened Cook on Bay in 2017.

Since then, thanks to the support of locals and visitors alike, the store has become a favorite destination for those who love to cook, gather, and enjoy great food.

As a small, independently owned business, our mission is to treat our customers like family, support our team, and give back to our community.

Someone once said that kitchen stores are among the happiest places on earth—we couldn’t agree more.
